I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Global Work and Labor at Cornell University. I also serve on the Steering Committee of the Project on Middle East Political Science.

I earned my Phd in Political Science from the George Washington University in 2013. Prior to joining the faculty at Cornell University, I was an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Alabama (2016-2019). I also held research fellowships at Harvard University (2015-2016), the University of Oxford (2014-2015), and the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (Fall 2013).
